Selank is the tetrapeptide tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg) extended at the C-terminus with Pro-Gly-Pro. The catalog separately lists N-acetyl selank amidate, a distinct molecule carrying an N-terminal acetyl group and a C-terminal amide. Registry numbers reported for that modified variant are inconsistent across suppliers and no CAS for it is published here.

Selank follows the same fragment-plus-extension construction as Semax: a short sequence from a larger endogenous peptide, extended with a C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro tripeptide. The sequence contains three proline residues, two of which are contributed by the extension.

Analytical considerations

The sequence contains no aromatic residues and no sulfur, so UV detection at 280 nm gives no useful chromophore response and sulfur-based oxidation pathways do not apply. Because the catalog also carries an N-acetylated, C-amidated variant, identity methods must distinguish the two forms.
